    We study a fuzzy fractional differential equation (FFDE) and present its solution using Zadeh's extension principle. The proposed study extends the case of fuzzy differential equations of integer order. We also propose a numerical method to approximate the solution of FFDEs. To solve nonlinear problems, the proposed numerical method is then incorporated into an unconstrained optimisation technique. Several numerical examples are provided.

    OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to investigate whether music therapy affects immediate postoperative well-being among patients who had undergone TKA surgery in the recovery unit.

    METHOD: A randomized controlled trial was conducted recruiting patients from Hospital Melaka, Malaysia. Postoperative TKA patients with good hearing and visual acuity, fully conscious and prescribed with patients controlled analgesia (PCA) were randomized to either intervention or control groups using a sealed envelope. Patients in the intervention group received usual care with additional music therapy during recovery, while patients in the control group received the usual care provided by the hospital. Two factors identified affecting mental well-being were the pain (measured using numerical rating scale) and anxiety (measured using a visual analog scale) at five different minutes' points (0, 10, 20, 30, and 60).

    RESULTS: A total of 56 (control: 28, intervention: 28) postoperative TKA patients consented in the study. There was no difference in baseline characteristics between the two groups (p>0.05). Using Mann-Whitney U tests, patients in music therapy group showed significantly lower numerical pain score at 60min (p=0.045) whereas there was no significant difference between the two groups at all time points for anxiety scores (p>0.05). In the intervention group, Friedman tests showed that there was a significant difference in numerical pain (χ2=36.957, df=4, p<0.001) and anxiety score across times (χ2=18.545, p=0.001).

    CONCLUSIONS: This study found that pain score decreases over time among patients in the music therapy group while no effect is seen for anxiety. It is suggested that music therapy could not affect postoperative TKA patients' mental well-being. Nonetheless, patients reported better pain score despite the small sample.

    Background: Functional limitationscommonly affect patients with knee osteoarthritis (OA) which reduces quality of life. The Enabling Self-management and Coping with Arthritic Pain using Exercise (ESCAPE-pain) is an evidence-based programme identified to be suitable for adaptation for the Malaysian health care system. It is important to understand the acceptance from a sociocultural context of the ESCAPE-pain programme from the perspectives of patients with knee OA and healthcare professionals. This qualitative study aims to explore the perspectives of stakeholders to inform the adaptation of the ESCAPE-pain programme into the Malaysian health care system. Method: Semi-structured interviews using interview guides were conducted with 18 patients with knee OA and 14 healthcare professionals including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, medical doctors, and orthopedic surgeons. The data were transcribed and analyzed using framework analysis. Results: The findings show that patients and healthcare professionals positively accept the programme into their daily living activities and recommend some modifications related to the Malaysian context. This study also highlights strategies to adopt when providing ESCAPE-pain to patients with knee OA. Conclusion: The findings reveal how sociocultural considerations could facilitate uptake and engagement with the ESCAPE-pain programme for home exercise among patients with knee osteoarthritis. These findings may benefit t patients with knee OA in the Malaysian healthcare system, although future research is recommended.

    This study aimed to investigate the effects of music on physiological outcomes for post-operative TKA patients in the recovery unit. Fifty-six patients from Hospital Melaka were randomized equally into intervention (IG) and control groups (CG). IG received the usual care and listened to selected music for 60min, while the CG received only the usual care. Systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP), heart rate (HR), respiration rate (RR) and oxygen saturation (SpO2) were measured on arrival and after 10, 20, 30, and 60min in the recovery unit. A significant difference between groups was observed in RR upon arrival (U=276.5, p=0.029) and after 10min (U=291, p=0.45). Meanwhile, there were significant differences in DBP (F=3.158, p=0.032), RR (χ2=15.956, p=0.003) and SpO2 (χ2=14.084, p=0.007) over time in the IG. Overall, listening to music immediately after TKA has an effect on DBP, RR, and SpO2.

    Transmission opportunity (TXOP) is a key factor to enable efficient channel bandwidth utilization over wireless campus networks (WCN) for interactive multimedia (IMM) applications. It facilitates in resource allocation for the similar categories of multiple packets transmission until the allocated time is expired. The static TXOP limits are defined for various categories of IMM traffics in the IEEE802.11e standard. Due to the variation of traffic load in WCN, the static TXOP limits are not sufficient enough to guarantee the quality of service (QoS) for IMM traffic flows. In order to address this issue, several existing works allocate the TXOP limits dynamically to ensure QoS for IMM traffics based on the current associated queue size and pre-setting threshold values. However, existing works do not take into account all the medium access control (MAC) overheads while estimating the current queue size which in turn is required for dynamic TXOP limits allocation. Hence, not considering MAC overhead appropriately results in inaccurate queue size estimation, thereby leading to inappropriate allocation of dynamic TXOP limits. In this article, an enhanced dynamic TXOP (EDTXOP) scheme is proposed that takes into account all the MAC overheads while estimating current queue size, thereby allocating appropriate dynamic TXOP limits within the pre-setting threshold values. In addition, the article presents an analytical estimation of the EDTXOP scheme to compute the dynamic TXOP limits for the current high priority traffic queues. Simulation results were carried out by varying traffic load in terms of packet size and packet arrival rate. The results show that the proposed EDTXOP scheme achieves the overall performance gains in the range of 4.41%-8.16%, 8.72%-11.15%, 14.43%-32% and 26.21%-50.85% for throughput, PDR, average ETE delay and average jitter, respectively when compared to the existing work. Hence, offering a better TXOP limit allocation solution than the rest.

    The use of advanced technologies has increased drastically to maintain any sensitive records related to education, health, or finance. It helps to protect the data from unauthorized access by attackers. However, all the existing advanced technologies face some issues because of their uncertainties. These technologies have some lapses to provide privacy, attack-free, transparency, reliability, and flexibility. These characteristics are essential while managing any sensitive data like educational certificates or medical certificates. Hence, we designed an Industry 5.0 based blockchain application to manage medical certificates using Remix Ethereum blockchain in this paper. This application also employs a distributed application (DApp) that uses a test RPC-based Ethereum blockchain and user expert system as a knowledge agent. The main strength of this work is the maintenance of existing certificates over a blockchain with the creation of new certificates that use logistic Map encryption cipher on existing medical certificates while uploading into the blockchain. This application helps to quickly analyze the birth, death, and sick rate as per certain features like location and year.

    Electroencephalographic signal is a representative signal that contains information about brain activity, which is used for the detection of epilepsy since epileptic seizures are caused by a disturbance in the electrophysiological activity of the brain. The prediction of epileptic seizure usually requires a detailed and experienced analysis of EEG. In this paper, we have introduced a statistical analysis of EEG signal that is capable of recognizing epileptic seizure with a high degree of accuracy and helps to provide automatic detection of epileptic seizure for different ages of epilepsy. To accomplish the target research, we extract various epileptic features namely approximate entropy (ApEn), standard deviation (SD), standard error (SE), modified mean absolute value (MMAV), roll-off (R), and zero crossing (ZC) from the epileptic signal. The k-nearest neighbours (k-NN) algorithm is used for the classification of epilepsy then regression analysis is used for the prediction of the epilepsy level at different ages of the patients. Using the statistical parameters and regression analysis, a prototype mathematical model is proposed which helps to find the epileptic randomness with respect to the age of different subjects. The accuracy of this prototype equation depends on proper analysis of the dynamic information from the epileptic EEG.

    A serious effect on people's life, social communication, and surely on medical staff who were forced to monitor their patients' status remotely relying on the available technologies to avoid potential infections and as a result reducing the workload in hospitals. this research tried to investigate the readiness level of healthcare professionals in both public and private Iraqi hospitals to utilize IoT technology in detecting, tracking, and treating 2019-nCoV pandemic, as well as reducing the direct contact between medical staff and patients with other diseases that can be monitored remotely.A cross-sectional descriptive research via online distributed questionnaire, the sample consisted of 113 physicians and 99 pharmacists from three public and two private hospitals who randomly selected by simple random sampling. The 212 responses were deeply analyzed descriptively using frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviation.The results confirmed that the IoT technology can facilitate patient follow-up by enabling rapid communication between medical staff and patient relatives. Additionally, remote monitoring techniques can measure and treat 2019-nCoV, reducing direct contact by decreasing the workload in healthcare industries. This paper adds to the current healthcare technology literature in Iraq and middle east region an evidence of the readiness to implement IoT technology as an essential technique. Practically, it is strongly advised that healthcare policymakers should implement IoT technology nationwide especially when it comes to safe their employees' life.Iraqi medical staff are fully ready to adopt IoT technology as they became more digital minded after the 2019-nCoV crises and surely their knowledge and technical skills will be improved spontaneously based on diffusion of innovation perspective.

    Objectives: Self-efficacy is an important factor in determining the ability of students to execute tasks or skills needed in the implementation of interprofessional learning (IPL). This study aimed to identify levels of self-efficacy with regards to IPL skills among undergraduate healthcare students and to investigate differences according to gender, programme of study and year of study.

    Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted between January and March 2018 at the International Islamic University Malaysia, Kuantan, Malaysia. The Self-Efficacy for Interprofessional Experiential Learning scale was used to evaluate the self-efficacy of 336 students from five faculties including nursing, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and allied health sciences.

    Results: Significant differences in self-efficacy scores for the interprofessional interaction subscale were identified according to programme of study, with pharmacy students scoring significantly lower than allied health students (mean score: 54.1 ± 10.4 versus 57.4 ± 10.1; P = 0.014). In addition, there was a significant difference in self-efficacy scores for the interprofessional interaction subscale according to year of study, with first-year students scoring significantly lower compared to fifth-year students (mean score: 52.8 ± 10.4 versus 59.9 ± 11.9; P = 0.018). No statistically significant differences in self-efficacy scores were identified with regards to gender or for the interprofessional team evaluation and feedback subscale.

    Conclusion: These findings may contribute to the effective implementation of IPL education in healthcare faculties. Acknowledging the influence of self-efficacy on the execution of IPL skills is crucial to ensure healthcare students are able to adequately prepare for future interprofessional collaboration in real clinical settings.

    OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study was to assess the level of knowledge and practice of body mechanics towards preserving musculoskeletal health in daily routine activities of HCPs (medical officers, staff nurses, community health nurses, assistant medical officers, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses) from Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Pahang.

    METHOD: A cross-sectional study was conducted with convenience sampling employed across five different departments. The departments were a department of medical, surgical, orthopedics, emergency and rehabilitation. The samples were selected according to a minimum of two years of clinical experience without any history of low back surgery. An instrument consists of socio-demographic background, knowledge on body mechanics and Owestry Low Back Pain Disability Index Questionnaire was used in this study.

    RESULTS: A total of 139 HCPs were recruited including medical officers, staff nurses, community health nurses, assistant medical officers, physiotherapists, and assistant nurses. A self-administered questionnaire pertaining to knowledge revealed that 73.4% of HCPs had inadequate knowledge of musculoskeletal body mechanics. Among all, 90.6% (minimal: 9.4%, moderate: 43.2%, severe: 42.4%, crippled: 5.0%) of HCPs showed moderate to crippled disability using Oswestry Disability Index classifications indicating the poor practice of body mechanics while working.

    CONCLUSION: The findings of this study indicate that a lack of knowledge among healthcare professionals lead to the inadequate practice of preserving musculoskeletal health while carrying out duty in caring patients. It is suggested that enforcing and emphasizing health education for healthcare professionals is urgently needed towards reducing the risk of the musculoskeletal problem among healthcare professionals.

    OBJECTIVE: This study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of simulation-based exercise programme among overweight adult in higher learning institutes.

    METHOD: A quasi-randomized controlled trial was conducted recruiting students from two different higher learning institutions in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. Students are selected after fulfilling the criteria such as body mass index (BMI) of ≥23kg/m2, no chronic diseases that may influence by exercise, no significant changes in body weight within two months and not taking any medications or supplements. One institution was purposely chosen as a simulation-based group and another one control group. In the simulation-based group, participants were given a booklet and CD to do aerobic and resistance exercise for a minimum of 25min per day, three times a week for 10 weeks. No exercise was given to the control group. Participants were measured with the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), BMI, waist circumference (WC), body fat percentage before and after 10 weeks of simulation-based exercise.

    RESULTS: A total of 52 (control: 25, simulation-based: 27) participants involved in the study. There was no baseline characteristics difference between the two groups (p>0.005). All 27 participants in the simulation-based group reported performing the exercise based on the recommendation. The retention rate at three months was 100%. No adverse events were reported throughout the study. Better outcomes (p<0.001) were reported among participants in the simulation-based group for BMI, WC and body fat percentage.

    CONCLUSIONS: The findings of this study indicate that the simulation-based exercise programme may be feasible for an overweight adult in higher learning institutes. As a feasibility study this is not powered to detect significant differences on the outcomes. However, participants reported positive views towards the recommended exercise with significant improvements in body mass index, body fat percentage and reduced the waist circumference.

    The objective of this study is to assess the level of knowledge and practice of burn first aid management among parents. A cross-sectional study was conducted among parents of under-age children in the Taman Desa Darul Naim area of Pasir Tumbuh, in Kelantan, Malaysia, using an adapted survey from Davies et al. Out of 80 respondents, 46.3% showed minimal knowledge of burn first aid, 47.5% had moderate knowledge, and 6.3% extensive knowledge. There was a significant relationship between the demographic data and the knowledge of burn first aid for gender (p=0.02), but no significant relationship between the level of knowledge and level of education (p=0.29) or age (p=0.09). The findings indicate that the level of knowledge of burn first aid is limited. Education for parents of under-age children, including demonstrations of burn first aid, is needed to promote safe action and prevent further injury in the community.

    This study was conducted to examine the association between physical activity (PA) and body weight status among adolescents in rural and urban areas. This cross-sectional study involved 257 adolescents aged 13-19 years, randomly selected from secondary schools around Kelantan, Malaysia. Body weight and height were measured and body mass index (BMI) was calculated. The students completed the International Physical Activity Questionnaire - Short Form, to assess their physical activity. Ethical clearance was obtained from respected bodies. Adolescents in the urban area had significantly higher BMI (p-value<0.001) and lower physical activity (p-value<0.001) than adolescents in the rural area. A significant association also found between BMI and PA in both urban and rural areas. In conclusion, more physically active adolescents had lower BMI than who are less physically active. Being physically active could lower the body weight and BMI, hence improve musculoskeletal health, and could reduce co-morbidity.

    Electromyography (EMG)-based control is the core of prostheses, orthoses, and other rehabilitation devices in recent research. Nonetheless, EMG is difficult to use as a control signal given the complex nature of the signal. To overcome this problem, the researchers employed a pattern recognition technique. EMG pattern recognition mainly involves four stages: signal detection, preprocessing feature extraction, dimensionality reduction, and classification. In particular, the success of any pattern recognition technique depends on the feature extraction stage. In this study, a modified time-domain features set and logarithmic transferred time-domain features (LTD) were evaluated and compared with other traditional time-domain features set (TTD). Three classifiers were employed to assess the two feature sets, namely linear discriminant analysis (LDA), k nearest neighborhood, and Naïve Bayes. Results indicated the superiority of the new time-domain feature set LTD, on conventional time-domain features TTD with the average classification accuracy of 97.23 %. In addition, the LDA classifier outperformed the other two classifiers considered in this study.

    OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to identify the need for basic first aid knowledge and skills among adolescents.

    METHOD: A cross-sectional study using multistage sampling was conducted among 375 secondary school students in Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia. The survey was adapted from a Hong Kong Red Cross survey. A back to back translation of this instrument was carried out by two bilingual medical experts with Cronbach's alpha 0.8. The data were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) in terms of descriptive analysis, and an independent t-test and chi-square test were carried out.

    RESULTS: There were 149 respondents from the lower form (grade level) and 226 respondents from the upper form. The majority of respondents (81.6%) were Malay. An independent t-test revealed a significant association between knowledge and attitude, as students who scored higher on first aid questions showed a more positive attitude towards first aid (1.475%). There were also significant associations between race and experience learning first aid.

    CONCLUSIONS: Adolescents receive minimal first aid education. Thus, there is an urgent need to educate adolescents more in first aid to promote a safer community and to prevent any further injuries.

    The Coronavirus pandemic and the work-from-anywhere has created a shift toward cloud-based services. The pandemic is causing an explosion in cloud migration, expected that by 2025, 95% of workloads will live in the cloud. One of the challenges of the cloud is data security. It is the responsibility of cloud service providers to protect user data from unauthorized access. Historically, a third-party auditor (TPA) is used to provide security services over the cloud. With the tremendous growth of demand for cloud-based services, regulatory requirements, there is a need for a semi to fully automated self sovereign identity (SSI) implementation to reduce cost. It's critical to manage cloud data strategically and extend the required protection. At each stage of the data migration process, such as data discovery, classification, and cataloguing of the access to the mission-critical data, need to be secured. Cloud storage services are centralized, which requires users must place trust in a TPA. With the SSI, this can become decentralized, reducing the dependency and cost. Our current work involves replacing TPA with SSI. A cryptographic technique for secure data migration to and from the cloud using SSI implemented. SSI facilitate peer-to-peer transactions, meaning that the in-between presence of TPA needs no longer be involved. The C2C migration performance is recorded and found the background or foreground replication scenario is achievable. Mathematically computed encrypted and decrypted ASCII values for a word matched with the output by the algorithm. The keys generated by the algorithm are validated with an online validator to ensure the correctness of the generated keys. RSA based mutual TLS algorithm is a good option for SSI based C2C migration. SSI is beneficial because of the low maintenance cost, and users are more and more using a cloud platform. The result of the implemented algorithm shows that the SSI based implementation can provide a 13.32 Kbps encryption/decryption rate which is significantly higher than the TPA method of 1 Kbps.

    The internet of reality or augmented reality has been considered a breakthrough and an outstanding critical mutation with an emphasis on data mining leading to dismantling of some of its assumptions among several of its stakeholders. In this work, we study the pillars of these technologies connected to web usage as the Internet of things (IoT) system's healthcare infrastructure. We used several data mining techniques to evaluate the online advertisement data set, which can be categorized as high dimensional with 1,553 attributes, and the imbalanced data set, which automatically simulates an IoT discrimination problem. The proposed methodology applies Fischer linear discrimination analysis (FLDA) and quadratic discrimination analysis (QDA) within random projection (RP) filters to compare our runtime and accuracy with support vector machine (SVM), K-nearest neighbor (KNN), and Multilayer perceptron (MLP) in IoT-based systems. Finally, the impact on number of projections was practically experimented, and the sensitivity of both FLDA and QDA with regard to precision and runtime was found to be challenging. The modeling results show not only improved accuracy, but also runtime improvements. When compared with SVM, KNN, and MLP in QDA and FLDA, runtime shortens by 20 times in our chosen data set simulated for a healthcare framework. The RP filtering in the preprocessing stage of the attribute selection, fulfilling the model's runtime, is a standpoint in the IoT industry.     Today, disease detection automation is widespread in healthcare systems. The diabetic disease is a significant problem that has spread widely all over the world. It is a genetic disease that causes trouble for human life throughout the lifespan. Every year the number of people with diabetes rises by millions, and this affects children too. The disease identification involves manual checking so far, and automation is a current trend in the medical field. Existing methods use a single algorithm for the prediction of diabetes. For complex problems, a single model is not enough because it may not be suitable for the input data or the parameters used in the approach. To solve complex problems, multiple algorithms are used. These multiple algorithms follow a homogeneous model or heterogeneous model. The homogeneous model means the same algorithm, but the model has been used multiple times. In the heterogeneous model, different algorithms are used. This paper adopts a heterogeneous ensemble model called the stacked ensemble model to predict whether a person has diabetes positively or negatively. This stacked ensemble model is advantageous in the prediction. Compared to other existing models such as logistic regression Naïve Bayes (72), (74.4), and LDA (81%), the proposed stacked ensemble model has achieved 93.1% accuracy in predicting blood sugar disease.

    COVID-19 data analysis and prediction from patient data repository collected from hospitals and health organizations. Users' credentials and personal information are at risk; it could be an unrecoverable issue worldwide. A Homomorphic identification of possible breaches could be more appropriate for minimizing the risk factors in preventing personal data. Individual user privacy preservation is a must-needed research focus in various fields. Health data generated and collected information from multiple scenarios increasing the complexity involved in maintaining secret patient information. A homomorphic-based systematic approach with a deep learning process could reduce depicts and illegal functionality of unknown organizations trying to have relation to the environment and physical and social relations. This article addresses the homomorphic standard system functionality, which refers to all the functional aspects of deep learning system requirements in COVID-19 health management. Moreover, this paper spotlights the metric privacy incorporation for improving the Deep Learning System (DPLS) approaches for solving the healthcare system's complex issues. It is absorbed from the result analysis Homomorphic-based privacy observation metric gradually improves the effectiveness of the deep learning process in COVID-19-health care management.

    Rice blast disease is one of the major bottlenecks of rice production in the world including Bangladesh. To develop blast resistant lines, a cross was made between a high yielding but blast susceptible variety MR263 and a blast resistant variety Pongsu seribu 2. Marker-assisted backcross breeding was followed to develop F1, BC1F1, BC2F1, BC2F2, BC2F3, BC2F4 and BC2F5 population. DNA markers i.e., RM206, RM1359 and RM8225 closely linked to Pb1, pi21 and Piz blast resistant genes, respectively and marker RM276 linked to panicle blast resistant QTL (qPbj-6.1) were used in foreground selection. Calculated chi-square (χ2) value of phenotypic and genotypic segregation data of BC2F1 population followed goodness of fit to the expected ratio (1:1) (phenotypic data χ2 = 1.08, p = 0.701; genotypic data χ2 = range from 0.33 to 3.00, p = 0.08-0.56) and it indicates that the inheritance pattern of blast resistance was followed by a single gene model. Eighty-nine advanced lines of BC2F5 population were developed and out of them, 58 lines contained Piz, Pb1, pi21, and qPbj-6.1 while 31 lines contained Piz, Pb1, and QTL qPbj-6.1. Marker-trait association analysis revealed that molecular markers i.e., RM206, RM276, and RM8225 were tightly linked with blast resistance, and each marker was explained by 33.33% phenotypic variation (resistance reaction). Morphological and pathogenicity performance of advanced lines was better compared to the recurrent parent. Developed blast resistance advanced lines could be used as donors or blast resistant variety for the management of devastating rice blast disease.
