    Introduction: Sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL) is an important otological emergency. Up to 90% of the cases are idiopathic. Cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT) is an extremely rare identifiable cause as it only represents 0.5% of all strokes.

    Case Report: In this paper, an unusual case of bilateral SSNHL secondary to bilateral CVT with rapid and complete recovery is reported. The patient presented with sudden bilateral hearing loss associated with some neurological symptoms. Initial computed tomography (CT) venography revealed a CVT of bilateral transverse sinuses. The patient was started on an anticoagulant and imaging was repeated after five days, revealing the absence of the thrombosis. Serial pure tone audiometry (PTA) showed complete recovery of bilateral hearing within 10 days.

    Conclusion: Early detection and intervention may fasten hearing recovery and improve the quality of life. The immediate restoration of venous blood flow and intracranial pressure may lead to the complete recovery of bilateral hearing loss.

    Oral cyst is uncommon in the neonatal period. Depending on the size and site of occurrence, its symptoms may vary. If not diagnosed and managed expeditiously, these oral cysts may cause significant and potentially fatal morbidity and mortality. We report a successfully managed case of oral cyst in neonate that presented with huge tongue at birth and complaints of impending airway obstruction. She was referred for tracheostomy as intubation was impossible. We attempted needle aspiration and the airway successfully relieved without the need for tracheostomy.

    Cadmium selenide (CdSe) quantum dots (QDs) with different size, 2.5 and 3.2 nm, were successfully deposited on mesoporous titanium dioxide (TiO2) (Degussa-P25) nanostructures by electrophoretic deposition method (EPD) at the applied voltage 100 V for 120 s deposition time. In this study, the morphology of CdSe films deposited by EPD and the performance of the film when assembled into a solar cell were investigated. From the field emission scanning electron microscopy cross-section, the thickness of the CdSe nanoparticles with size 2.5 nm films were 3.4 and 3.0μm for CdSe 3.2 nm nanoparticles film. The structure of 2.5 nm is denser than compare of 3.2 nm CdSe nanoparticles. From UV visible spectroscopy, the band gap calculated for 2.5 nm CdSe nanoparticles is 2.28 eV and for 3.2 nm is 2.12 eV. Photovoltaic characterization was performed under an illumination of 100 mW cm-2. A photovoltaic conversion efficiency of 1.81% was obtained for 2.5 nm CdSe and 2.1% was obtained for 3.2 nm CdSe nanoparticles. This result shows that the photovoltaic efficiency is dependent on CdSe nanoparticle size.

    Squamous papilloma of the oral cavity is frequently seen in adult patients and is typically presented as painless exophytic granular or cauliflower-like lesions over the tongue, floor of the mouth, palate, uvula, lips, and faucial pillars. Most of the lesions are solitary and grow rapidly to about 0.5 cm. Oral squamous papilloma has no known malignant potential, with conservative surgical excision being the treatment of choice. Recurrence is rare. It occasionally causes symptoms, unless the presentation is atypical, as in our case. An elongated uvula can cause discomfort and reduce a patient's quality of life. This study aims to report an atypical presentation of a squamous papilloma over the soft palate.
